Design statement

I am an independent lighting designer based in London. I work with clients across the residential, commercial and leisure sectors, receiving commissions from individual homeowners, developers, architects, interior designers and landscape gardeners. I work both within the UK and abroad.

Whatever the project, my central objective is to deliver illumination that compliments the architecture and enhances the human experience of the space. Whether the light fittings are given prominence or discreetly integrated into the architectural fabric, I seek to achieve subtle lighting effects using the latest energy efficient technologies.

As an established designer, I have good relationships across the architectural and decorative lighting supply industry, allowing me to make impartial design choices suitable for each individual project and budget. The bespoke nature of my approach has led me into the world of product design, where I have forged bonds with various highly skilled technicians. As a result I am able to offer specially commissioned pieces ranging from single lamps to large multiple pendants and editions.

I have worked on a variety of projects ranging from award winning residences, large offices and retail spaces, restaurants, hotels and private homes. I cover interior and exterior lighting schemes, including gardens.

Design service

I usually work on a fixed fee basis, though an hourly rate can be agreed where appropriate. Depending on the scope of the project, I offer one-off consultations through to full lighting design packages that include concepts, lighting plans, specifications, commissioning and focusing.
